Rogue Climber Is Climbing Onto Steam Early Access This Week

Aim for the Top in Rogue Climber

Imaginary Game Studios is gearing up for the Early Access release of Rogue Climber, a high-intensity precision platformer set to arrive on Steam for Windows on June 20. Support for Mac, Linux, and Steam Deck is also in the works, with development on those platforms continuing during the Early Access phase.

Rogue Climber throws players into a relentless vertical gauntlet where every second counts. With the clock ticking, you’ll scale towering levels filled with deadly traps and enemies, relying on your reflexes, gear, and strategy to survive.

Movement is the heart of the game. Blink dash across gaps, chain wall runs, and ground pound enemies as you dodge hazards like floor spikes and fire-breathing monsters. Even gravity seems determined to drag you down. To survive, you’ll need to adapt quickly, mastering each mechanic through trial, error, and skill.

Along the way, you’ll collect single-use tactical gear. Each item offers a temporary edge but adds to your weight, forcing a careful balance between power and agility. Strategic upgrades play a crucial role as well. Choose your limited ability slots wisely and evolve them mid-climb to suit the challenges ahead.

True to its roguelike roots, Rogue Climber offers no shortcuts or safety nets. The climb only gets harder, but so do you. With fast-paced gameplay and a focus on skillful progression, it’s a test of both reflexes and resolve.

Rogue Climber launches this week for Windows via Steam Early Access, with other platforms to follow soon.
