Verho Is Set to Release Later This Year on PC

Lift the Curse in Verho

Indie developer Kasur Games is bringing a chilling, retro-inspired dungeon crawler to PC later this year with Verho, published by CobraTekku Games. A playable demo is already live on Steam, offering a glimpse into this dark and haunting RPG.

Set in the cursed world of Yariv, Verho plunges players into a land where seeing another person’s face is fatal. The Curse of Faces has left humanity cloaked in masks, their only means of survival. But not everyone is willing to live in fear. Some choose to venture deep into Yariv, seeking to uncover the origins of the curse and perhaps end it once and for all.

Players assume the role of a nameless wanderer, drawn to the desolate ruins of Yariv. With little guidance and only fragments of forgotten knowledge, they must navigate a world filled with danger, mystery, and decay. Each step forward means facing brutal combat, discovering hidden paths, and confronting unsettling truths buried in the shadows.

Inspired by atmospheric classics like King’s Field and Shadow Tower, Verho captures a sense of isolation and tension rarely found in modern RPGs. Its stark visuals, methodical pacing, and eerie tone invite players to lose themselves in a world where survival hinges on secrecy and where every encounter could be your last.

Whether you are drawn by its grim setting or its old-school mechanics, Verho promises a haunting journey through a land where even a glance can kill.
